  1. Acceptance of Terms:

 By accessing and using the Ryt Life Connect Application (hereinafter “Ryt Application”), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not accept these terms, you must not use the Ryt Application. These terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and Ryt Life Private Limited (hereinafter “Ryt Life”). Your use of the Ryt Application constitutes your acceptance of this agreement, effective as of your first use of this application.

 

  1. Definitions:
  • Therapist: For the purpose of these Terms and Conditions, “therapist” refers to a licensed counsellor or psychologist.

 

  • AI Therapist: The ‘AI therapist’ is a chat bot intended to provide users with a space to decompress and express themselves. It is in no way the equivalent of, or the replacement for, a licensed therapist under any circumstance. Ryt Life provides qualified therapists that can be accessed through other features on the application. Ryt Life strongly encourages you to seek out emergency services in your geographical area during a crisis or emergency as the AI therapist is not designed to handle any mental health crisis or emergency.

 

  1. Scope of Service: Users gain access to different services based on their payment plan. The Ryt Life Connect Application provides the following services (collectively referred to as “the services”).

 

  • 1-1 Therapy Sessions: One-on-one video consultations with therapist.
    • These services are provided by a licenced counsellor or psychologists.
    • By signing up for 1-1 therapy services you are agreeing to the Informed Consent Form.

 

  • Focused Groups: Time-limited sessions led by a therapist encompassing discussions, activities, and exercises tailored to group goals.. Groups disband post agenda completion.

 

  • Support Groups: Therapists guide group interactions Themes dictate the group’s support structure.

 

  • Digital Notes: A dedicated space on the website for users to document emotions and reflections. The designated therapist can view these notes and provides one daily response.

 

  • Playground: A comprehensive digital repository of mental health materials, including videos, articles, self-assessment tools, and self-help kits.

 

  • AI Therapist: The “AI Therapist” allows users to engage in either text or audio conversations. This tool is not intended to replace a licensed therapist. . Instead, it facilitates real-time interactions wherein the AI Therapist guides the conversation, assisting users in delving into their thoughts and emotions, and offering transformative insights.

 

  • AI Therapist is not Replacement for Professional Care: This AI tool is not a substitute for a licensed therapist or medical professional. It does not have the capability to understand or interpret human emotions and conditions fully as a trained professional would.

 

  • AI therapist cannot Diagnose: The AI is not equipped to diagnose mental health conditions, prescribe medication, or provide a professional treatment plan.

 

  • Emergencies and Crisis Situations: In the event of a mental health crisis or emergency, it is crucial to contact a qualified professional immediately. The AI tool is not designed to handle or provide support during acute crisis situations.

 

  • Seek Professional Advice: For accurate diagnosis, treatment, and professional mental health support, please consult a licensed therapist or medical professional.

 

  1. User Eligibility:

This application is designed for use by individuals above the age of 18 only, it is not currently designed to provide different therapeutic services to minors in consideration of their age.  By using Ryt Application and the service it offers, you warrant that you are 18 years of age or older and have the legal authority to enter into these Terms and Conditions.

 

  1. Confidentiality and Privacy Policy:

In electing to engage with the Ryt Application, you, the User, hereby affirmatively acknowledge and assent to the stipulations enumerated in our Privacy Policy. This acknowledgment forms an integral component of the Terms and Conditions governing your use of the Ryt Application. Your access, perusal, and continued utilization of the Ryt Application shall be construed as your irrevocable acceptance of our Privacy Policy, which may be amended from time to time. You must agree to the privacy policy to use Ryt Application.

 

  1. User Responsibility & Community Guidelines

As a user, you bear full responsibility for your behaviour and conduct on the platform. You are legally and personally accountable for all content you post. Compliance with the laws of your jurisdiction and the Laws that govern the territory of India is mandatory. In addition to the legal obligations users must adhere to the  . Ryt Life reserves the right to issue penalties including warning, suspension, or removal from specific services or the application depending on the severity and frequency of the offence if users are found to be in violation of the community guidelines or following terms.

  • Respectful Interaction: Interactions should be conducted with respect. Harassment, bullying, hate speech, or any form of discrimination is unequivocally prohibited.
  • Content Sharing Restrictions:
    1. Users must refrain from sharing overly graphic or potentially triggering material without appropriate warnings.
    2. Content that encourages harm (to oneself or others), self-destructive behaviour, including but not limited to promotion of self-harm or eating disorders is prohibited
    3. All forms of solicitation are prohibited.
    4. Content of a sexual nature is prohibited including but not limited to any images or videos that display graphic sexual activities.
    5. Content involving minors or their identifiable details, including but not limited to addresses, schools, or contact information, is forbidden.
    6. Content promoting violence, compromising physical safety, or associated with terrorism, organized crime, or hate groups is strictly prohibited.

 

  • Confidentiality: Users are obligated to protect the privacy of others. Do not share personal or identifying information about other users without their explicit consent.

 

  • Reporting: Users are encouraged to report any violations of these guidelines to the platform administrators.

 

  • Intellectual Property: Users cannot modify, translate, create derivative works of or reverse-engineer our products or their components.

 

  • Non-interference with Services: Users must not engage in activities that interfere with or impair the application’s provision of services. This includes making fraudulent appeals or complaints.

 

  • Accountability: Users found in violation of these guidelines may face actions ranging from warnings to account suspension or termination. Ryt Life reserves the right to terminate any user for violation of these terms.

 

  1. Liability and Warranties
  • The services provided by the Ryt Application are offered on an “as is” and “as available” basis. Ryt Life Private Limited expressly disclaims all warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including, but not limited to, the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not guarantee that the Ryt Application will meet your requirements, or that the service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free; nor do we guarantee the accuracy or reliability of any information obtained through the Ryt Application.

 

  • The Ryt Application provides mental health services through a combination of licensed professionals (counsellors and psychologists) and technological services; however, it is not a substitute for direct, personal, professional medical care and diagnosis. The information and services provided by or through the Ryt Application are not intended to be and do not constitute psychological or medical advice. The application and the professionals on the application cannot and will not diagnose you with medical conditions and will not prescribe any form of medication.

 

  • To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Ryt Life Private Limited shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or exemplary damages, including but not limited to, damages for loss of profits, goodwill, use, data or other intangible losses even if Ryt Life Private Limited has been advised of the possibility of such damages.

 

  • Notwithstanding anything to the contrary herein, the aggregate liability of Ryt Life Private Limited and its affiliates, officers, employees, agents, suppliers, and licensors, relating to the services will be limited to any amounts actually paid by you to Ryt Life Private Limited for the period including one month prior to the first event or occurrence giving rise to such liability. The existence of more than one claim will not enlarge this limit.

 

  • You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ryt Life Private Limited, its officers, directors, employees, agents, and third parties, for any losses, costs, liabilities, and expenses (including reasonable attorneys’ fees) relating to or arising out of your use of or inability to use the Ryt Application or services, any user postings made by you, your violation of any terms of this Agreement or your violation of any applicable laws, rules or regulations.

 

  • You further agree to indemnify and hold harmless Ryt Life Private Limited from any claims resulting from any action taken by any third party using the Ryt Application, or by any third party that the Ryt Application facilitates. This includes indemnification from claims arising out of any content submitted, transmitted, or made available through the Ryt Application, and any violations of law or the rights of any third party.

 

  1. Disclaimer
  • Service Provision: Our platform provides mental health support and resources. However, it is not a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition. Never disregard professional medical advice or delay in seeking it because of something you have read on the Ryt Application.

 

  • Emergency Situations: If you are in crisis or need immediate help, please seek emergency services in your area or consult with a qualified healthcare provider.

 

  • User Responsibility: Users are responsible for their actions and interactions on the platform. The organisation is not liable for any harm or damages resulting from user interactions.

 

  • AI-Therapist Disclaimer: The AI therapist is not a replacement for therapy provided by licensed mental health professionals. It is designed to support individuals, but it does not and cannot replace or recreate, the relationship that exists between a person and their healthcare professional. It cannot provide a valid diagnosis. It cannot prescribe any medication. It cannot replace any professional advice.

 

  1. Payments & Billing:
  • Payment Models:

9.1.1. Pay-Per-Feature: Users may opt to pay for individual features (“Pay-Per-Feature Services”) as described in the Pricing page at https://rytlife.com/pricing .

Each selected feature will incur a one-time fee, payable in advance, as specified at the time of purchase. All fees are denominated in INR and are exclusive of all taxes, levies, or duties imposed by taxing authorities.

 

9.1.2 Subscription: Users may subscribe to access a bundle of features (“Subscription Services”) on a monthly basis as described in the Pricing page at https://rytlife.com/pricing. Subscription fees are payable in advance and will be billed monthly or yearly. Subscription fees are subject to change upon 30 days’ notice from Ryt Life. Such notice may be provided at any time by posting the changes to the  Ryt Application.

 

  • Payment Terms:

Payment for A la Carte Services or Subscription Services must be made by credit card, debit card or UPI. You agree to pay all charges incurred by users of your credit card, debit card, or other payment method used in connection with a purchase or transaction with the Ryt Application at the prices in effect when such charges are incurred.

 

  • Cancellation and Refund Policy:

9.3.1. Professional Cancellation: In the event that a service is cancelled by the professional, clients will be offered the choice to reschedule the service or to receive a full refund. Rescheduling must be agreed upon by both parties and occur within 30 days of the original appointment.

 

9.3.2 Client Cancellation: If a client decides to cancel a booked service, the client must do so at least 24 hours before the scheduled time to avoid charges for any 1-1 services. If the client cancels within this period, no refund will be provided.

 

9.3.3 Non-availability: If the client is not available at the time of the scheduled service and has not provided prior notice according to the terms set forth in section 3(b), no refund will be issued.

 

9.3.4 Subscription Cancellation: Subscribers may cancel their subscription by sending an email to support@rytlife.com . To avoid billing for the next period, cancellation must be made at least 7 days before the end of the current subscription period. No refunds will be provided for the unused portion of the subscription period.

 

9.3.5 No-Refund under certain conditions: In the event that you, the user, are suspended, banned, or otherwise prohibited from using the Application, or any of its features, due to a violation of any user responsibilities or other terms outlined in this Agreement, you acknowledge and agree that you shall not be entitled to a refund of any fees paid. Any such suspension, ban, or prohibition imposed as a result of your breach of this Agreement shall result in the immediate forfeiture of any fees paid, without recourse.

 

9.3.6. Modifications to Service Fees or Payment Terms: Ryt Life reserves the right to modify service fees or payment terms at any time. Any change will be effective within 10 days upon intimation via app or by direct communication to you, unless otherwise noted.

 

9.3.7 Refunds: The application does not provide refunds for services except under extraneous circumstances where Ryt Life is unable to provide the purchased services and as examined on a case by case basis. If you require a refund please contact support@rytlife.com. All refunds will be processed within 15 business days, and refunded to the account from which the payment was processed.

9.3.8 No changes to Focus Groups: There are no refund or change request functions for focused groups. If you are unsatisfied you can choose to exit the group but you can not rejoin a new one instead and will be required to make a separate payment for any other focused groups you may want to join.

  1. Therapist Selection and Changes
  • Initial Assessment and Match: Users chose their therapist based on their specific needs, preferences, and the therapist’s expertise.

 

  • Regular Evaluations: Regular check-ins every 4 sessions are scheduled to assess the client-therapist relationship and therapy progress. These are carried out by therapists themselves who may use a form or obtain this information from discussions with the client.

 

  • Request for Change: Users can request a change of therapist at any point. The request can be made by raising a ticket or direct communication to support@rytlife.com

 

  • Grounds for Change of Therapist: Both clients and therapists can request for changes on the following grounds:

 

10.4.1. Dissatisfaction with Current Therapy: Lack of progress, mismatch in therapeutic approaches, or personality clashes.

 

10.4.2. Changed Therapy Needs: Evolving therapy goals that require different expertise.

 

10.4.3. Logistical Reasons: Schedule conflicts, changes in location, etc for either the therapist or the client.

 

  • Evaluation of Request for Change: A meeting or call with a case manager or supervisor is arranged to understand the reasons behind the request to ensure the new match is aligned with the client’s needs.

 

  • Identification and Selection of a New Therapist: Based on the client’s feedback and available therapists, a new match is proposed. The client is given the opportunity to review the proposed therapist’s profile and expertise.

 

  • Transitioning to a New Therapist: Clients are required to have a transition session with the current therapist to discuss and prepare for the change unless specifically requested otherwise.

The first session with the new therapist focuses on reassessing goals and establishing a new therapeutic relationship.

 

  1. Group Counselling
  • Initial Group Placement: Clients select groups based on their therapeutic needs, group dynamics, and logistical considerations like timing and frequency.

 

  • Group Assessments: Periodic assessments of group dynamics and individual progress within the group as facilitated by the group therapist.

 

  • Exiting the Group: Users can raise a ticket with the reason explaining why they wish to leave the group and an administrator will remove them. Users can not select a group to change to.

 

  • Assignment to New Group: Based on the client’s needs and available groups, a new group can be joined. New groups are only assigned for the following reasons: issues within the group dynamics, change in therapeutic needs, or logistical issues like timings.

 

 

12: Grievance Redressal Mechanism:

  • Reporting: Users who have concerns or grievances are encouraged to report them through our dedicated reporting portal available on the Application or the Website. This service is designed to receive and address complaints promptly and effectively.

 

  • Investigation Process: Upon submission of a grievance, our dedicated customer service team will undertake a review and initiate an investigation into the reported matter. The user who lodged the grievance may be contacted to provide additional details or clarification.

 

  • Resolution: We strive to address and resolve all grievances expeditiously. Our team will respond to all complaints received at support@rytlife.com within 3 business days. The user who raised the concern will be duly informed of the outcome and the measures taken to address their grievance.

 

  1. Dispute Resolution:

In the event of an issue or concern, we are available by email at support@rytlife.com to address any concerns you may have regarding your use of the Ryt Application. The parties shall use their best efforts through this initial dispute resolution process to settle any dispute, claim, question, or disagreement and engage in good faith negotiations for a period of 90 days, which shall be a condition to either party initiating a lawsuit or arbitration.

 

  1. Severability:

In the event that any provision of this Terms and Conditions agreement, is held to be unenforceable or contrary to law, then that provision shall be deemed severed from the Agreement and the Agreement shall be interpreted, to the extent possible, without such provision. Any such invalidity shall not affect the validity or operation of any other term, clause or provision of these Terms and Conditions.

 

  1. Choice of Law; Venue

The terms of this Agreement shall be governed by the laws of Karnataka, India, without regard to conflicts of laws principles. All disputes arising out of or in connection with this Agreement shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Bengaluru, Karnataka, India.

 

  1. Updating of Terms

We may change our terms of service and conditions to accurately reflect changes in Ryt Life’s policies. Unless otherwise required by law, we will notify you through the application before we make changes to these Terms and give you an opportunity to review them before they go into effect. If you continue to use the services, you will be bound by the updated Terms. If you do not want to agree to these or any updated Terms, you can delete your account.
